Kids Culture Camp is in a partnership between iEmergence Saskatchewan and InterVarsity’s Circle Square Ranch Wolf Creek, Wolseley, Saskatchewan. This will be the first year this camp will be in Saskatchewan. It will take place from July 4th to July 8th, 2022. KCC will take place on Treaty 4 Territory, the traditional lands of the Michif Piyii (Métis), Očhéthi Sakówin (Dakota) and the Niitsítpiis-stahkoii (Original People’s Land) of the Niitsítapi (Blackfoot) who are the original caretakers of the land.

The focus will be on kids learning about themselves, their people and their Creator out on the land. The camp will foster a communal environment in which we honor an Indigenous way of life through tipi living, cooking out on the land, harvesting medicines, and engaging in traditional ways of doing, knowing and being.

This year’s theme is on one of the 7 Grandfather Teachings, Tapāhtēyimowin (Humility), which is represented by Mahihkan (the wolf). The campers will learn about this teaching through stories, activities and living it out in their wolf packs. They will have an understanding about what it means to be humble and considerate of others before themselves.
